Main Content:
  • Develop an appreciation of the diverse patient population that we see and how that may guide the PA’s information gathering, physical assessment, diagnostic workup and therapy
  • Ability to discuss the situation with the patient in a language they will understand (i.e. using appropriate terminology tone, sincerity, seriousness of the condition, respect)
  • Demonstrate skill in the different ways to communicate with their patients; verbal, silence, listening, visual cues, positioning, written
  • Works effectively as a member of the health care team
  • Completes accurate and thorough documentation of each patient encounter (patient assessment, treatment plans, procedure performed, education, counseling)
