Applications for Communications Science & Disorders Programs

BA Communications Science & Disorders

For students considering a career in speech-language pathology or audiology, this undergraduate major provides the scientific foundation upon which subsequent graduate academic or clinical training is appropriately based, please direct all inquires to  the  SHRS Admissions office .

Clinical Programs

MA Communication Science & Disorders

This is the clinical degree for students wishing to apply for ASHA membership and state licensure to practice as a clinical speech-language pathologist in the USA. Students can be considered for the MS (with thesis) once in the MA-SLP program and with the approval of your advisor.  For admissions requirements and guidelines please review the following website:  Admissions Requirements
Application is via the Central Application Service  for CSD. No other applications will be considered. Please follow the instructions at CSDCAS . Any concerns/questions about the application process should be addressed to CSDCAS .

Clinical Doctorate in Speech Language Pathology

The Doctor of Clinical Science (CScD) is an advanced professional doctoral program recommended for the student or practicing speech language pathologist seeking to learn state-of-the-science information and clinical skills.
All applicants considering the CScD must email CSD admissions  BEFORE starting the application process.

Doctorate in Audiology

This is the clinical degree for students wishing to practice as a clinical audiologist in the USA. Students successfully completing our program will be eligible for state licensure, ASHA certification and the American Board of Audiology. The professional Doctorate of Audiology (AuD) is the required entry-level degree for audiologists wishing to practice in the USA.  For admissions requirements and guidelines please review the following website  Admissions Requirements .

Non-clinical/Research Programs

 

MS or PhD in Communication Science & Disorders

 

These programs are oriented toward scientific inquiry in the discipline of communication science and disorders. These program experiences are individually tailored and designed to meet a variety of academic and professional goals.
All applicants considering a research (non-clinical) degree must email CSD admissions before starting the application process.
