What is NSSLHA?
NSSLHA, the National Student Speech Language Hearing Association, was founded in 1972 as the national organization for undergraduate and graduate students interested in the study of human communication and related disabilities.
What is our mission?
Our mission is to create a community among students through being a source of information about the field, as well as, providing opportunities to gain experience in the field. Through volunteering, fundraising, and information sharing, NSSLHA strives to be a resource for students interested in the professions of speech language pathology and audiology.
Who can join?
Any student interested in speech-language pathology, audiology or the speech, language and hearing sciences. This includes freshmen, sophomores, juniors, seniors, master’s, clinical doctorate, and research doctorate students.
You should also consider joining the national organization as well as the state organization. You can join NSSLHA at: www.asha.org/nsslha and PSHA (Pennsylvania Speech-Language-Hearing Association) at: www.psha.org.
