The University of Pittsburgh Department of Occupational Therapy promotes and supports continuing competency through ongoing professional educational efforts. 

Performance Assessment of Self-Care Skills (PASS) Workshop

This 1-day workshop is offered to occupational therapy practitioners interested in learning how to administer a performance-based IADL, ADL, and functional mobility assessment tool that can be used across adolescent and adult populations in a variety of settings.

Workshop content includes: PASS Overview, PASS Clinical Utility, PASS Psychometrics and a hands-on learning experience on how to administer and rate select PASS items.

AOTA Fieldwork Educator Training Certificate Program

Faculty from the University of Pittsburgh Department of Occupational Therapy are trained as regional instructors to deliver this 2-day workshop, designed to advance the skills of practitioners who provide fieldwork opportunities for occupational therapy students. Course offerings are arranged through the American Occupational Therapy Association.
