Ashley Firm is an assistant professor in the Physician Assistant Studies Hybrid Program. Firm received her Doctorate of Pharmacy from the University of Pittsburgh and completed a community pharmacy residency with the University of Georgia and Barney’s Pharmacy in Augusta, GA. After returning to the Pittsburgh area, Firm worked within a local independent pharmacy and begin leading the pharmacology course with the on-campus program. Firm continues to lead the pharmacology course for the on-campus physician assistant studies program and the doctor of physical therapy on-campus and hybrid programs.  Firm continues to work at a national pharmacy chain to continue to provide the most updated perspective on pharmacy to the students. Her research interests include flipped classroom learning techniques and incorporating technology and innovative teaching methods in the classroom.
