Patty is an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Clinical Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling department. Her work experience includes public and private rehabilitation employment settings, including the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation and various independent private sector medical and vocational case management companies.
Patty Costantini is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC), and Certified Case Manager (CCM). She also holds 2 certifications in life care planning (CLCP & CNLCP). Her private practice primarily involves forensic rehabilitation, including life care planning and vocational rehabilitation assessment. She was named 2015 Outstanding Life Care Planning Educator by the Foundation for Life Care Planning Research.
Patty has served as national President of the Commission on Rehabilitation Counselor Certification (CRCC) and the American Association of Legal Nurse Consultants (AALNC). She is Past Chair for the IARP International Academy of Life Care Planners (IALCP) section. She has also served as Chair of the American Legal Nurse Consultant Certification Board (ALNCCB) and continues to serves on the ALNCCB Appeals Panel.
Patty spent many years, including as President, on the Board of Directors for Community Living and Support Services (CLASS, formerly United Cerebral Palsy of Pittsburgh). Patty has been an Editorial Consultant for the Journal of Applied Rehabilitation Counseling and Journal of Legal Nurse Consulting. She is currently an Editorial Board member for the Journal of Life Care Planning.
