Katie Kugler, PA-C, MEd
Kathryn (Katie) Kugler has served as the president of the Pennsylvania Society of Physician Assistants (PSPA) since October 2016. Prior to being elected president, Kugler served on the Board of Directors as a director at large, the chair of Regional Affairs Committee, and co-chair of the Political Action Committee, and a member of the Conference Committee. Currently, she is very active in Governmental Affairs.
Kugler works full time at Penn State Hershey Medical Center as lead advance practice clinician for the Division of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery and holds a faculty position as instructor of Medicine at Penn State College of Medicine. In addition to her clinical job, she guest lectures for Penn State University and Lock Haven University Physician Assistant Programs and also precepts PA students from various programs for elective rotations in Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery.
Kugler graduated from King’s College in Wilkes-Barre, PA, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Physician Assistant Sciences in 2000 and from Penn State University in Harrisburg, PA, with a Master’s Degree in Health Education in 2016.
When she is not at work, teaching or promoting the PA profession through the PSPA she enjoys crocheting, reading, swimming, hiking, cruising, and vacationing.
