Positive psychology theory and research promotes an alternative to disease-focused treatments and instead promotes holistic functioning and health. Workshop discussion and activities will focus on how we might enhance health and personal well-being. Attendees will learn about the five pillars of happiness that include positive emotions, engagement, positive relationships, meaning and accomplishment. This workshop will focus on both personal well-being and utilizing positive psychology in professional counseling through positive psychotherapy.
