With over 16 years of higher education experience, Leland Clark is the SHRS executive director of Student Affairs. In this role, which was designed to enhance the student experience, Clark provides strategic direction and oversight of admissions, advisement, student engagement and student services. He previously worked in higher education student affairs and admissions in New York, NY, most recently as vice president of Student Affairs for the International Culinary Center. Prior to that, he held leadership roles in academic advising, career services, international student advising and international admissions.
A native of Pittsburgh, Clark graduated with honors from Carnegie Mellon University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in professional writing with an additional major in French. He earned his Master of Science in higher education administration from Baruch College's Marxe School of Public and International Affairs (CUNY). He is currently pursuing his Doctor of Education (EdD) degree at the University of Pittsburgh School of Education.
