Saleem A. Khan is a professor of Microbiology and Molecular Genetics at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He is also interim director of the Center for Vaccine Research and associate dean for Academic Affairs at the School of Medicine. He holds a joint appointment in the Department of Communication Science and Disorders in the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences. He teaches in the course on cleft palate and is director of the Human Genetics course in the School of Medicine. Khan’s research deals with the role of human papillomaviruses in human cancers and he has served as principal investigator on numerous grants from the National Institutes of Health.
