Virginia Muthard, BSc, CPO/L, FAAOP, is a faculty instructor for the Prosthetics and Orthotics program at SHRS. She leads the instruction of the Orthotics base coursework in addition to other requisite courses in the program. She is an ABC board-certified Prosthetist-Orthotist and is licensed in the state of Pennsylvania in both Prosthetics and Orthotics. She is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists. She possesses a breadth of clinical experience as well as some adjunct teaching experience with Alvernia University's Doctorate of Physical Therapy program. She was also a board member for IM ABLE for several years—a nonprofit with the mission to remove obstacles that keep people with challenges on the sidelines, providing them access to programs and equipment tailored to their needs and a community of all abilities to support them—and continues to facilitate through their programming committee. She completed her graduate certificates in prosthetics and orthotics through Northwestern University and prior to that had completed her BS in bioengineering through the Schreyer Honors College at The Pennsylvania State University.
