Yeook Kim is a visiting research instructor in the Department of Occupational Therapy. Kim received her BS in Occupational Therapy from Yonsei University in South Korea in 2015 and obtained both her MS and CScD in Occupational Therapy from the University of Pittsburgh. Prior to joining the University of Pittsburgh School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences in 2018, Kim worked as an occupational therapist for children and youth with special needs, with a focus on promoting independence and family participation in the community. She has volunteered with a variety of populations at risk including vulnerable children and youth with disabilities in developing countries, refugees and immigrants. As a research instructor, Kim will assist with research projects related to obesity prevention and health-promoting interventions.
