Ordering Technology

All Computer and Technology Peripherals must be approved by SHRS IT.    Please contact SHRS IT Support directly to purchase new computers. Options for computers, headsets, cameras can be found at the following page

 

Accessing Technology

In order for us to inform a user of their new account name and initial password, we will require a personal email address for any new hire.  The IT team can send an encrypted email message to that address, which will provide the new hire their Username@pitt.edu , initial password and a handful of helpful PITT Technology websites to get them started.

New account holders would need to complete the following tasks regarding account security.

Connectivity (Network, Phones, Cellular)

SHRS IT will also need to know if the hire is replacing a position and should be re-assigned an existing phone number, or if a brand new Microsoft Teams enabled.

Online Service Request Forms are available at Online Service Request Forms  .  Department Administrators can submit these forms. If you have questions or encounter issues, please do not hesitate to contact the SHRS IT Support team via email or phone (412-383-6657).

These include forms for activating a new Data Port, Requesting Mobile Device Cellular Service and Requesting a MS Teams enabled 10-digit phone extension
