Biography
Robin Leaf leads the strategic direction and oversight of departmental administration and operations, encompassing management and reporting across all educational and service activities, communications and public relations, academic program support, and student worker supervision. Prior to joining the department in 2021, Leaf worked within varying academic roles, specializing in accreditation, data systems, experiential learning and pedagogy within the University of Pittsburgh’s School of Public Health and two other University units since 2002. From 2017 to 2026, she presented at over 20 national and local conferences on experiential learning, assessment and pedagogical best practices.
Leaf has served in national leadership roles, as Chair of the Association of Schools and Programs of Public Health’s Data Section in 2021, following a term as Chair-Elect in 2020, and led a funded proposal for the University of Pittsburgh’s Year of Data and Society through the Data@PITT Project in 2022. She has also served as an abstract reviewer on multiple occasions, including for the National Academic Advising Association, NASPA – Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education and the Academic and Practice Linkages in Public Health Caucus of the American Public Health Association Annual Conference.
