Melissa Rohm comes to the University of Pittsburgh from UPMC Presbyterian and Montefiore hospitals as a senior, acute care speech-language pathologist. Rohm’s experiences as an inpatient clinician curated her passion and desire to further her exposure to the research side of the field of speech-language pathology. In addition to her casual work as an inpatient clinician, Rohm’s main role is now focused on clinical research in Associate Professor Will Evans’ Language Rehabilitation and Cognition Lab where Evans and his team are working on two NIH-funded clinical trials focused on adaptive computer-based language treatments for stroke survivors with aphasia.
