Our Athletic Training (Accelerated MS, MS) program prepares students to become unique health care providers who specialize in the prevention, assessment, treatment and rehabilitation of injuries and illnesses. After completing our program, students become eligible to sit for the national Board of Certification (BOC) exam, which upon successful completion enables them to practice as certified athletic trainers under the supervision of a physician.
Imagine yourself working with physically active patients on the court, on their job or in the line of duty. Learn how to develop injury prevention programs, assess, treat and rehabilitate sport-related injuries and create performance optimization plans for physically active individuals.
The Pitt Athletic Training program provides you with the opportunity to take what you learn in the classroom and apply it in a variety of clinical settings. A strong relationship with UPMC and access to multiple health care facilities, gives you hands-on experience that prepares you for future success in healthcare.
