You are invited to attend a guest lecture on Improving Long-Term Trajectories of Post-Deployment Psychosocial Functioning in War Veterans, presented by Dr. Eric Meyer, a licensed clinical psychologist with extensive experience as a federally-funded investigator through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Texas A&M University, and Baylor University. This lecture will be held on Tuesday, November 13th, from 11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. in 4060 Forbes Tower, followed by a light reception from 12:30 – 1:00 p.m.

Dr. Meyer leads a program of rehabilitation-focused research at the Department of Veterans Affairs VISN 17 Center of Excellence for Research in Returning War Veterans that has been continuously funded by VA’s Rehabilitation Research & Development Service since 2010. He is the Associate Director of the Warriors Research Institute at Baylor Scott & White Health, the largest healthcare system in Texas. The Warriors Research Institute focuses on innovative methods of improving mental health and functional outcomes related to occupational stressors and injuries in military veterans and emergency responders. Dr. Meyer is also an Associate Professor at Texas A&M University and Baylor University.
