Amy Lane is an occupational therapist and clinical instructor within the Department of Rehabilitation Science and Technology. She manages and operates the Adaptive Driving Program, located in the UPMC Center for Assistive Technology (CAT). In 2000, she obtained a specialty certification as a CDRS (certified driver rehabilitation specialist) and is actively involved in The Association for Driver Rehabilitation Specialists (ADED), initially as the Publication Chair and Editor, completing two terms as board president and currently serving as the Leadership Development Chair. In collaboration with NHTSA, AOTA and ADED, she has worked on special projects related to the older driver and defining the spectrum of driver rehabilitation programs. She has also served on numerous panels related to this specialty field.
