Biography

In her position as program director, Christine Rodgers combines her clinical expertise with a commitment to academic excellence. Her education established a strong foundation in both patient care and education. Rodgers’ journey in academia began in 2014 as an adjunct assistant professor at the University of Pittsburgh Physician Assistant Studies program.

In spring 2021, Rodgers transitioned to the hybrid program, initially serving as Associate Director and Director of Clinical Education before being appointed Program Director in November 2022. Her ongoing clinical practice in addiction medicine enhances her teaching, offering students practical insights into the complexities of patient care. Under her leadership, the Hybrid Program excels in integrating rigorous academics with practical skills and empathy, preparing future healthcare professionals for the challenges of modern medicine.
