Evelyn Mariperisena-Meinert is a part-time clinical instructor in speech-language pathology (SLP) specializing in augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) at UPMC’s Center for Assistive Technology (CAT). She provides clinical instruction to graduate SLP students while providing clinical services to adults with complex communication challenges at CAT and affiliated sites. Mariperisena-Meinert has extensive experience in AAC. She worked at the ICAN Talk Clinic of the AAC Institute for three years and has a private practice specializing in both AAC and bilingual speech-language therapy. 

Mariperisena-Meinert received her master's in speech-language pathology from the University of Pittsburgh. Prior to becoming an SLP, she worked in international corporate communications for Chrysler Corporation and had her own public relations agency based in Stamford, CT.
