Jill Bodnar is the communications manager for the Office of Marketing, Communications, Recruitment and Enrollment (MCRE) within the Dean’s Office. She supports the MCRE team in elevating the school’s programs by writing content and producing videos across the school’s media platforms, marketing materials, press releases, newsletter and website. In December 2021, she graduated from Duquesne University with an MFA in media arts and technology. Her capstone project was a multimedia project that researched the altruism of Holocaust rescuers in World War II and was selected as the Provost’s Award for Outstanding Scholarship. Prior to returning to her hometown of Pittsburgh, she worked in Seattle for 17 years as an information management specialist for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration planning for and responding to oil spills and hurricanes across the country. In between Seattle and Pittsburgh, she spent a few years as a communications specialist and brand ambassador for a small hotel on a mountainside overlooking Lake Como, Italy. She never saw George Clooney, but rode her bike by his house several times.
