Melissa N. Ruscetta, AuD, PhD, joins the department as an assistant professor and externship coordinator for the doctor of audiology (AuD) program. Dr. Ruscetta joins the department from WS Audiology (Rexton) in Minneapolis, MN. where she served as Audiology Training Manager. As an assistant professor in the appointment stream, Dr. Ruscetta's primary academic responsibilites will involve teaching in the audiology program, participation in clinical education through audiology network supervision, and AuD externship coordination. Dr. Ruscetta will be charged with working closely with our Vice Chair for Clinical Education and Director of the AuD program to support high quality, coordinated clinical training across the AuD program. In her role as AuD externship coordinator, Dr. Ruscetta will serve an important leadership role in the recruitment and vetting of clinical sites, the initiation of clinical affiliation contracts, and facilitating communication and training with clinical preceptors.
