Rebecca Grecek is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) and a Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist in the state of Pennsylvania. She assists with teaching Practicum in Dietetics and serves as a clinical instructor for the Dietitian Nutritionist Program.
Following an internship and coordinated master’s program at Case Western University and the Louis Stokes Cleveland Veterans Affairs Hospital, she has been working with the Department of Diabetes and Endocrinology at UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh. She is currently working as a Senior Diabetes Educator. Rebecca’s areas of interest include promotion of health and nutrition in the pediatric population with a specific focus on Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus. She works with newly diagnosed and established patients with diabetes to educate on the diagnosis and management of this complex condition. She has led multiple projects within the Department of Diabetes and Endocrinology focusing on awareness of Diabetes Mellitus, including a Teaching Kitchen and yearly Diabetes Awareness campaigns.
