Tonya George is an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Physician Assistant Studies. She graduated from PA school in 2001 and later earned a Master’s degree in Clinical Leadership, a Master’s degree in Public Health Community Health, and a Doctorate (PhD) in Public Health Epidemiology. Her clinical experience includes General Surgery, Burn Surgery, Trauma Surgery, Bariatric Surgery, Neurosurgery and Convenient Care Medicine. In addition to her clinical experience, she has gained invaluable experience as a research and medical presenter at national, regional, and local conferences. Her scholarly interests include Epidemiology, research, traumatic injuries, obesity, Diversity Equity and Inclusion, and wellness.
