Biography

Adam Popchak serves as a member of the graduate faculty and has been a full-time faculty member since 2015. He acts as a mentor for students within the PhD program within SHRS, while also holding a joint appointment in the School of Medicine. Popchak remains a practicing physical therapist at the UPMC/Rehabilitation Institute Lemieux Sports Complex and works closely with the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery in both research and clinical care. He has contributed to the growing evidence related to rehabilitation and return to pre-injury activities after shoulder pathologies. Popchak has a passion for teaching clinically relevant topics and providing mentorship to physical therapy students in pursuing their professional and clinical goals.
