Amy Brown

Biography

After graduating from the University of Pittsburgh’s Physician Assistant (PA) Studies program, Amy Brown began precepting clinical year students. Shortly thereafter, she began working for the Department of PA Studies as an adjunct faculty and has since then transitioned to primary faculty for the hybrid program. She plays a significant role in curriculum development and has taught a range of courses. Brown’s clinical appointments in Trauma and Acute Care Surgery, Emergency Medicine, Addiction Medicine and inpatient OBGYN enhance her teaching by offering students invaluable real-world insights. She serves as a course consultant for the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center/University of Pittsburgh’s Advanced Practice Provider Leadership Certificate Course.
