Biography
Delaney Sullivan is a graduate of the Pitt Clinical Mental Health Counseling program who has returned to help future counselors emerge in the field! She has a passion for working with clients in the community while teaching emerging counselors. She works with individuals of all ages and has a special passion for working with individuals in substance use recovery and the LGBTQ+ community.
Sullivan became passionate about counseling after first-hand experiences wherein she felt the effects of supportive mental health professionals. Initially intending to be a medical doctor, she realized that counseling merged physical and mental health care; recognition of the mind-body connection and collaboration with other healthcare providers allows us to provide holistic care while forming meaningful therapeutic relationships.
She is excited to be back at Pitt for the launch of her teaching career! Sullivan looks forward to helping new students find their place in the counseling community.
