Biography

Joseph “Joe” Van Wagner, DC comes to Pitt with a background in exercise science and a focus on rehabilitation. His interest in chiropractic care began after a lacrosse injury in high school, which sparked his curiosity about the human body, movement and the process of helping people return to the activities they enjoy.

He is passionate about preparing future chiropractors to think critically, communicate effectively and develop individualized treatment plans that reflect each patient’s goals and needs.

A strong advocate for patient-centered, evidence-based care, Van Wagner encourages students to approach clinical decision-making with curiosity and an open mind.
