Biography
As a proud DPT alum from the University of Pittsburgh, and in a full-circle moment, Kara Kobal returned to Pitt as faculty in 2021. She has spent the majority of my clinical career in pediatric settings. Currently, she maintains clinical practice in an adult inpatient rehabilitation facility.
In addition to her work at Pitt, she serves ascClinical director of FUN Fitness at Special Olympics Pennsylvania (SOPA), where she leads programs that support the health and unique needs of individuals with intellectual disabilities. One of her proudest accomplishments has been developing and implementing training programs and providing hands-on experience for future physical therapists through SOPA, equipping them to provide inclusive, evidence-based care for this underserved population.
