Biography
Reivian Berrios Barillas brings 25 years of experience in orthopedics and sports medicine which informs my teaching and scholarship. Berrios serves on committees for anatomy education and provides input to groups who are underrepresented in health care and higher education. Berrios developed an anatomy chatbot and feedback application that supports student learning. Additionally, Berrios served as an anatomy content expert for Body Scientific’s Anatomy book, an introductory-level anatomy resource designed to support inclusive learning. The text features hand-drawn illustrations of people with a wide range of melanin tones and body shapes, helping to broaden representation in foundational anatomy education.
