Susan George is the founding director of Women's Rehab and Men’s Health at UPMC Centers for Rehab Services, managing 40 pelvic health, lymphedema and oncology physical therapists in 19 offices across Western Pennsylvania. 

George received her Bachelor of Science in physical therapy and her Master's degree in orthopedic physical therapy at the University of Pittsburgh School of Health-Related Professions (now SHRS) and her Doctor of Physical Therapy from Temple University. She is a board-certified clinical specialist in Orthopedics and in Women’s Health. 

George provides physical therapy instruction at the University of Pittsburgh and Duquesne University. She trains practicing physical therapists in basic and advanced pelvic health and oncology topics and has educated other health professionals locally and internationally on related topics. She has co-authored peer reviewed articles in the areas of pelvic health, oncology and orthopedics and has co-authored a pelvic health clinical practice guideline.

Her family hails from Pitt as she met her husband here and now her daughter, two sons and daughters-in-laws are also Pitt alumni. In her spare time, she enjoys rock-wall climbing with her daughter, hosting Sunday night family dinners, paddle boarding on Lake Erie and going to the zoo with her grandson.
