Xingyu Mark Zhang currently holds the position of Associate Professor, specializing in Biostatistics and Epidemiology, within the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences at the University of Pittsburgh. Prior to joining the University of Pittsburgh, he served as a Research Assistant Professor at the University of Michigan and gained valuable experience as a postdoctoral research fellow in biostatistics at Emory University. His extensive research interests encompass a wide range of topics, including (1) clinical research with a focus on study design and statistical analysis, particularly in clinical trials; (2) the exploration of medical imaging biomarkers; (3) the utilization of electronic health record data for research; (4) the application of predictive and machine learning techniques in healthcare; and (5) investigations into health outcomes and healthcare services, with a particular emphasis on transplantation and emergency medicine. His work has led to over 70 coauthored peer-reviewed journal articles, spanning biostatistical methods and clinical research publications.
