Master of Science in Health and Rehabilitation Sciences with a Concentration in Physical Therapy (MSPT)

Our post-professional master’s degree enables physical therapists to improve their clinical knowledge and skills through a specific program of advanced practice and scholarship. The Department of Physical Therapy offers two concentrations as part of the Master of Science in Health and Rehabilitation Science program:

  • Musculoskeletal Physical Therapy
  • Neuromuscular Physical Therapy

These plans of study are designed to provide advanced clinical skills and knowledge in the areas of musculoskeletal or neuromuscular physical therapy. The program is designed to meet the needs of practicing physical therapists who want to update their clinical skills using evidence based principles in clinical decision making. In addition to coursework and laboratory sessions, students also participate in physical therapy clinical rounds, which provides them with additional knowledge of advanced physical therapy practice.

This program is intended for both US citizens and international physical therapists seeking advanced clinical skills.
