The University of Pittsburgh Student Occupational Therapy Association (UPSOTA) is a group of students who are interested in, or are pursuing a degree in the field of occupational therapy. Membership is open to students enrolled in the University of Pittsburgh Doctor of Occupational Therapy (OTD), Master of Occupational Therapy (MOT) and Master of Science in Occupational Therapy (MS in OT) programs. Members function to promote occupational therapy as a profession in Pittsburgh and the surrounding areas. UPSOTA members raise funds for activities such as attendance at state and national occupational therapy conferences, social events that enhance the students' educational experiences, and community service events.

Through UPSOTA's various opportunities, students are provided with educational enrichment experiences, representation and networking and opportunities to communicate the distinct value of occupational therapy within the Pittsburgh community and beyond.
