Pitt's Physician Assistant Studies program opened its doors in 2009 at the University of Pittsburgh Applied Research Center. In recent years, the program moved to Pitt's Oakland campus and became the first to occupy the new Murdoch Building on Forbes Avenue, just a few short blocks from SHRS' main location and central offices.
