Abby Block is the Project Coordinator for the Brain Systems for Language Lab in the Department of Communication Science and Disorders. The BSL lab employs behavioral and electrophysiological methods to study the development of semantics, syntax, phonology, and attention in children with typical development and children who stutter. Abby earned her BA in Communication Science and Disorders from the University of Pittsburgh in Spring 2023. She initially joined the BSL lab in Fall 2020 as a research assistant and will continue her work in the lab during her gap year while applying to graduate school for Speech Language Pathology. Abby enjoys spending time with children and hopes to eventually work clinically with children who have speech and language disorders.
